The 2.3 series is now feature-locked, right?  So stability oughtta be
reasonable or better?  I guess I'll try out a development kernel then,
although I never did get a 2.1 kernel to work...

I'll have to read that not bootable stuff closer, because just last night I
moved my boot drive over to the connectors on that side and booted from
it.  Of course then there was a horrible death experienced as the root
device didn't actually exist (no /dev/hde because no support for the
controller, and no /dev/hda because that was now elsewhere).

Eh, back to ripping 7GB worth of mp3's again.  At least I can re-encode
them faster now...
