kppp problem


When I start X, and launch kppp from the console, I get this goofy error
message:

 Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
kppp: cannot connect to X server :0.0   

And then nothing happens.

If I do a "xhost + localhost" then it will launch fine. Any ideas?
