Yes, its added to the append line.

Tried that.  I started out with ELF, the rest as modules, then switched
them all to direct includes.

What really seems wierd, is its a kernel that will boot my system from
lilo and the hard drive.  It seems like I've got to be overlooking
something really simple, or I'm not doing what I think I'm doing.
