Re: book reccomendation

Hi,
Always remember the man pages, of course. Also, before buying anything,
look over the guides available at your local LDP mirror (for example:
http://www.luci.org/LDP/docs.html#guide)

I don't have many general linux books, but of them I kinda like "A
Practical Guide to Linux" by Mark Sobell, published by Addison Wesley.
This is a copy I got from Steve a while back, and when I just *must* have
a book in front of me I tend to go to this one. There are almost 300 pages
of alphabetical command information. My copy is a 1997 edition, there may
be a more recent one.

Another one that I tend to use is an old copy of "Unix Power Tools,"
from O'Reilly. This one suits my preference for "recipies," when I just
need a quick tool to do something that does not have an obvious answer.
