Mandrake 9.1beta3 includes KDE 3.1. The only problem that I had when using 
9.1beta3 was that 5 minutes into use the ethernet drivers magically 
disappeared from the system. I couldn't even find a copy of MAKEDEV (you 
don't expect me to use mknod do you?) to make the devices myself. So for a 
friendly warning, don't use 9.1beta3 with 3COM 3C905B-TX Fast Etherlink PCI 
cards.
