Haven't tried either, so I can't comment on the specifics.

With enough effort, any Linux distro can be made as secure as any other;
distros like Bastille just try to reduce the effort needed.  So, it's
mainly a question of effort: the effort of learning a new distro's
quirks versus the effort of securing a less secure-by-default distro.

If you try Bastille, please don't forget to report back and tell us what
you thought.
