dpkg

With debian packages, doing a dpkg -I gives a bunch of info on it.  I
have a question on the Installed-Size bit, is that value in kilobytes? 
If so, is there any way of finding the exact value in bytes?  I ask
because I get some peculiar behavior with it.  The -I reports 78 for one
package, but if I install it with apt-get, it report 76.8 KB.  Does dpkg
have something like rpm's --queryformat where I can get to some more
detailed information?
