yep. after grepping through file after file, we found that pump did
support a -h flag. in the /etc/sysconfig/ifup file there was a reference
to the pump binary that was:

	/sbin/pump $PUMPARGS -i $INT

i could see where the value for $INT was coming from, but i have no clue
where $PUMPARGS was being assigned. this was the only reference to it in
the script. we just removed it and manually added -h <hostname> and it
came up.
