Issues are being confused here. AOL & M$ provide terrible products &
services, which is why we, the people on this list, don't use them
whenever we can avoid them, but they DO know how to run a profitable
business. You can't deny that.

Same with McDonalds, American Airlines, Ameritech, AT&T, etc., etc.

It's one thing to be like Miss America & *say* "I want to bring about
world peace & help starving children in Africa". It's another to actually
do it.

Similarly, "I want all businesses to tell the truth & to provide good
products" is a nice thought. But...

Linux is a great OS. But there's more to running a business than having a
good server.

If the public were as smart & sophisticated as some people are suggesting,
then they would have rejected M$ in favor of Apple, and Linux would have
never existed.
