Are we talking a DNS-type error?  If so, you'd have to change that with
your holder's nameservers.  If they are just retrying over & over, then
I believe it will continue to stay in their ARP.

I changed the IP address of several servers last Wednesday.  There are
still people hitting the old addresses.  I've had some fix it by doing a
"release/renew" or "arp -d" but some seem to be getting the wrong
address from their ISPs.
