Your suggestion got me thinking, so I had to check this. I put a Linksys
wireless card in my laptop, and it works perfectly sitting out on my
porch  (Non-DTN issued card).  Looks like everything should be a go for
this router to bridge to the tower.  This one has me scratching my head.
