Hmmm... assuming all my cables are ok, etc., is there any way of testing
if my hardware is phucked?

My processor is a Cyrix 6x86 P150, one of the ones that has that little
cache disabling bug thingy, so I (probably wrongfully) blame most all my
hardware problems on it. I had a Western Digital HD go bad on me about 5
months ago, which I was told by my vendor, was due to a circuitry bug. I
had a 16MB trueparity SIMM go bad about 1 month ago. Blah.
