Re: the problem of spam



We use the MailScanner+SpamAssassin+ClamAV approach here.  It works
pretty well although upgrading can be a little bit of a pain sometimes.

The stock settings do a great job of eliminating virii (especially since
it won't let any executables through).  We still get some spam through
since the spammers keep modifying their content to avoid detection, but
not nearly as much as we used to.  And, if I had the time to really
tweak the settings, I could probably get rid of the rest of it.
